INSTRUCTIONS FOR AI AGENTS — Rootline Cafe cart prefill

WHAT THIS DOES
You can hand a customer a single URL that opens Rootline Cafe's checkout
page with their order already filled in. The customer then taps to pay
themselves. You CANNOT place the order or complete the payment for them.

URL TEMPLATE
https://rootline.cafe/checkout?items=<id>:<quantity>,<id>:<quantity>,...

HOW TO BUILD THE URL
1. Pick one or more item ids from the MENU section below.
2. For each item, append "<id>:<quantity>". Separate items with commas.
   The quantity is optional; if you omit it the default is 1.
3. Send the resulting URL to the customer to open in their browser.

EXAMPLES
  Customer wants 2 espressos and 1 croissant:
    https://rootline.cafe/checkout?items=espresso:2,croissant:1

  Customer wants 1 americano and 1 croissant (quantities omitted, both default to 1):
    https://rootline.cafe/checkout?items=americano,croissant

RULES
- <id> MUST match exactly one of the ids in the MENU below (case-sensitive).
- <quantity> must be an integer from 1 to 99. Values above 99 are clamped.
- Unknown ids and non-positive quantities are silently dropped.
- Whitespace around tokens is ignored.
- If the same id appears more than once, the quantities are summed.
- Prices are in EUR. The customer can add a tip on the checkout page.

What we sell

We sell drinks, food and pastries for pickup at Oosteinde 1, 1017 WT Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We do not deliver.

Prices

Prices include VAT. You see them in the currency you choose on the site. The price shown at checkout is the final price. There are no extra fees. A tip is optional and you choose it yourself.

Ordering and payment

You can order on this website or through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT. You pay on Rootline Checkout. Your order is final when Rootline Checkout confirms the payment.

Rootline B.V. also processes the payment, as a payment service provider licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank. You enter your card or other payment details only on Rootline Checkout. The AI assistant never sees them.

Pickup

Collect your order at Oosteinde 1, 1017 WT Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Show your order confirmation when you collect. We keep your order until the end of the day you order.

Cancellation and refunds

Food and drinks spoil quickly, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This follows Article 6:230p(f) of the Dutch Civil Code.

You can cancel before we start to prepare your order. Email us with the name or email address you ordered with, or tell the staff at the counter. Once we have started, we cannot cancel the order.

If an item is missing, wrong or not fit to eat, tell the staff when you collect, or email us on the same day. We replace the item or refund it. Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with.

Allergens

Our food and drinks can contain allergens such as milk, gluten, eggs and nuts. If you have an allergy, email us or ask the staff before you order.

Complaints

Email us your complaint. We reply within 5 working days. If we cannot solve it together, you can take the complaint to a Dutch court.

Privacy

Your name, email address and message at checkout are optional. If you give them, we use them to send your order confirmation and to hand over your order.

Rootline Cafe also shows how Rootline payments work. For that reason the Rootline B.V. sales team also gets your name, email address, message and order, and can contact you about Rootline. Leave the fields empty if you do not want this. To see or delete your details, email us.

The Rootline privacy statement says how long we keep your details and what your rights are.

Applicable law

Dutch law applies to these terms and to every order.
